All about this master

Programme Overview

The MSc in International Hospitality Management is a one-year program with an internship that offers industry insights, management knowledge, and specialized expertise in global hospitality. The internship provides practical experience sought by employers.

Students study at two prestigious European business schools, Institut Lyfe and emlyon, known for excellence. Courses are co-designed by experts to prepare students for leadership in hospitality, with two tailored tracks: Advanced or Accelerated, depending on prior education and experience.

Curriculum (courses, subject modules)

Year 1

Period 1: Foodservice Management (Lyon)

  • Build a strong foundation in hospitality management with courses in marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Develop and test a restaurant concept through a pop-up experience, combining creativity with business planning.
  • Explore global foodservice trends in Lyon, the world capital of gastronomy, through hands-on projects and visits.

Period 2: Hospitality Management (Paris)

  • Discover the art of lifestyle and luxury hospitality with courses in service design, digital environments, and customer experience.
  • Design a new hotel brand from concept to execution and present it to industry executives.
  • Immerse yourself in Paris’ iconic hospitality scene during Hospitality Week, visiting world-renowned palace hotels and innovative boutique properties.

Period 3: International Hospitality Management (Las Vegas)

  • Learn the intricacies of casino management, large-scale events, and asset management in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
  • Tackle a real-world consulting project for an international hospitality company, solving strategic challenges.
  • Experience Las Vegas’ vibrant hospitality ecosystem and attend the city’s specialized Hospitality Week.

 

Year 2

  • Professional Thesis: Conduct an in-depth analysis of a topic related to the hospitality industry, leveraging academic knowledge and professional experience.
  • Internship: Complete a 4-6 month internship or embark on your first job to gain hands-on expertise and launch your career in the global hospitality sector.
