Managing a business in the food and beverage sector successfully and in a responsible way is a complex, challenging, unique, and fascinating task. Food and Beverage products differ from almost any other category of products. They represent a vast range of elements essential for human life, concerning not only physiological and biological aspects, but also our emotional side, culture, tastes. Food&beverage products are an experience that involves not only our body, but also our mind, soul, spirit, and heart ("the stomach is close to our heart"). Additionally, the food&beverage sector is an extremely dynamic one, strongly affected by relevant macro-trends, such as sustainability, digitalization, technology.
In our Msc in International Food&Beverage Management at ESCP Business School we inspire and educate tomorrow business leaders who will impact the world in a responsible way, in the field of food&beverage.
Our unique pedagogical approach mixes effectively strong theoretical foundations with relevant practice, meeting with executives, managers, and professionals directly from the field, learning from successful companies and working on real-life case studies. Programme Overview
The MSc in International Food & Beverage Management prepares future managers and entrepreneurs for success in this dynamic industry.
With a transnational approach across Italy and France, the programme offers a deep understanding of the sector.
Taught by experienced faculty and enriched by guest speakers from leading brands (e.g., Lavazza, Barilla, Ferrero), it combines lectures, case studies, consulting projects, and company visits. The hybrid model blends onsite and online learning with digital tools, ensuring readiness for global business challenges.
Culminating in a Master’s Thesis and international internship, it equips students with practical skills and industry connections for a thriving career.
Curriculum (courses, subject modules)
The specialisation starts in October and relies on ESCP’s highly-qualified teaching staff as well as on the visiting professors from some of the most prestigious universities and business schools in the world and invited professors with extensive professional experience in the data science field.
This programme requires a high level of English language proficiency.
During Terms 2 and 3, the curriculum is structured around three key pillars of the programme:
- Core Interdisciplinary Modules: Building a Strong Management Foundation
These foundational courses provide the tools and perspectives needed to navigate today’s complex business environment.
Key topics include global challenges such as economics, geopolitics, sociology, and law; performance management tools like accounting and sustainability reporting; and integrated business thinking encompassing marketing, strategy, finance, innovation, Big Data, and AI.
- Industry-Specific Courses: Diving into Food & Beverage Expertise
These courses delve into the unique characteristics, challenges, and opportunities of the Food & Beverage sector.
Representative topics include food waste management, agrifoodtech, and food regulation and safety.
- Major: Tailoring Your Expertise to Career Goals
Students will choose one of three specialised career tracks*, each combining focused coursework and company experiences:
- Restaurant & Gastronomy Management focuses on mastering the complexities of managing F&B establishments and optimising profitability.
- Entrepreneurship & Innovation in F&B explores the creation and scaling of innovative ventures in the Food & Beverage sector.
- Marketing & Communication in F&B emphasises building strategies to enhance brand reputation and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
*Note: The launch of each major is subject to a minimum number of participants. Students will be asked to indicate their order of preference, and in cases where their first choice is unavailable, they may be reassigned to their second preference.
